This painting features a classic, shiny tea kettle sitting right next to a bright, fresh lemon. What I loved most about working on this piece was playing with the reflections on the stainless steel, you can actually catch a little glimpse of the room and a bright window distorted in the metal. It’s a simple everyday moment, but the pops of color make it feel really special.

• Materials: Oil paint on 1-1/2" thick cradled wood panel. The wood edges are hand-stained in a custom, complementary color that perfectly suits the artwork and sealed with a protective coating. Each work is initialed on the front, signed and dated on the reverse, and protected with an archival satin varnish.
