This week's painting features a quiet group of white ducks catching the last bits of warm evening light on a wooden dock. I really wanted to capture that peaceful, lazy feeling of late afternoon, with the golden sunset reflecting on the water and creating long, soft shadows. It just feels like a moment where everyone is slowing down for the day.
• Materials: Oil paint on 1-1/2" thick cradled wood panel. The wood edges are hand-stained in a custom, complementary color that perfectly suits the artwork and sealed with a protective coating. Each work is initialed on the front, signed and dated on the reverse, and protected with an archival satin varnish.
